BONO is the 0→1 build I lead at Bono Fintech — the team behind SOLO, Romania’s #1 accounting app for freelancers, with 19,000+ clients. Where SOLO serves PFAs, BONO brings the same fully-digital experience to SRLs: company setup, invoicing, and accounting in one platform, launching autumn 2026.
The product-led motion
The free, fully online company-setup flow (start.bono.ro) is the self-serve entry funnel, instrumented end-to-end:
- Companies are already being incorporated through the funnel, ahead of launch
- Newly incorporated founders convert strongly to the accounting waitlist
- Entrepreneurs go from idea to registered SRL in minutes, not weeks
What we’ve shipped
- Invoicing MVP with native e-Factura (ANAF) integration — mandatory for Romanian businesses
- AI-powered document processing — OCR, extraction, and summarisation
- Multi-tenant architecture with shared auth, identity, tenancy, and subscriptions; audit trails on every business mutation
How it’s built
I built and lead the product-engineering team (senior C#/React engineers) — and the platform is almost entirely AI-built, delivered through “J” — a multi-agent AI development suite of my own design: planning, implementation, and multi-agent code-review loops.
