Cristian Făgărășan is a product and growth leader in fintech, based in Bucharest. He is Head of Product Development at Bono Fintech — the team behind SOLO, Romania’s #1 accounting app for freelancers — founder of Firmoscop, and a PhD researcher on delivery performance in agile and hybrid software organisations. His platforms are built almost entirely by AI agents, through a multi-agent system he co-created with his brother.
Long bio
Cristian Făgărășan is a product and growth leader with over a decade across fintech, marketplaces, and digital agencies. He is Head of Product Development at Bono Fintech, the team behind SOLO — Romania’s #1 accounting app for freelancers — where he leads the 0→1 build of a fully digital accounting and company-setup platform for Romanian businesses.
Previously, at Toptal, he helped scale the delivery organization from 6 to 13 agile squads and led product work through four M&A integrations. He is the founder of Firmoscop, a business-verification platform for Romanian companies, and co-creator (with his brother) of J, a fleet of AI engineering agents that takes tickets to reviewed pull requests — the system that builds most of his products.
Cristian is a PhD researcher at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, where his work measures delivery performance in agile and hybrid software organisations — how frameworks behave at scale, and what metrics and leadership actually change. He has 12 peer-reviewed publications and 255+ citations, and holds 13 professional certifications including PMP and SAFe.
